-Phuket Area Info-
One of our favorite area is Kata Beach. Restaurants that serve good international & local food at very reasonable prices, mini-marts and gift shops are all in walking distance. Sunset cocktail is a must at a beach bar owned by Thai "Reggae Boys" right behind one of the hotels we recommend, almost on the water.

Only a 15 minute "Tuk-tuk" (local taxi) ride from Kata Beach is Patong Beach where more restaurants, shops and lots of bars & clubs are open every night.. (200-400 Baht / one way) Patong offers even more variety of dining options including most Western dishes, major Asian dishes and lots of fresh seafood restaurants, world-wide fast food (McDonald's, KFC, Starbucks and Ice cream parlors, just in case you miss them).

Though there are a couple of local department stores in Patong, exciting place for shopping lovers is Phuket City, the province capital. Recently opened is a mega shopping complex. From Cinema complex to western style deli, international clothing brands, super market and variety of restaurants, you will find everything you need. For shoppers who prefer local style, there are many shops downtown Phuket City that sell craft-works, Asian souvenirs and exotic decoration along with many local food places and stands. Modern and daily products can be found at local market and department stores at very reasonable price. 20 to 30 minute (200-400 Baht / one way) ride from your hotel.

White sandy beaches, limestone caverns, and clear blue water are the main attraction of the Phi Phi Islands (also famous for being the location for the film, The Beach). Your accommodation for Phi Phi Island Overnight Trip is right on the beach at Phi Phi Don's Ton Sai Bay. Everything is within walking distance. There are cool beach bars right by the water where you can just chill or party on. Many of these bars offers incredible fire dance show just before midnight and is worth seeing.
